Notice Regarding Referral Requirements Within Local 1393's Jurisdiction
Individuals seeking referrals for work within the jurisdiction of IBEW Local 1393, who were previously, or are currently employed by any employer within the Local's jurisdiction whose scope of work encompasses utility and commercial outside electrical power work, including high voltage pipe type cable work and electrical underground construction are required to provide documentation verifying separation prior to receiving a referral.
This requirement is being implemented to ensure compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements, hiring hall procedures, and established jurisdictional standards governing employment within IBEW Local 1393. Verification of separation helps protect the integrity of the referral system, prevents conflicts related to dual employment or improper workforce allocation, and ensures that all individuals seeking work are doing so in accordance with union rules and contractual obligations.
All members and applicants should be advised that failure to provide requested documentation may result in delays or denial of referral until such time as proper verification is received. This policy is applied uniformly and is intended to uphold fairness, transparency, and compliance within the hiring process.
If there are any questions regarding this requirement or the documentation needed, individuals are encouraged to contact IBEW Local 1393 directly for clarification.
Thank You.
