IBEW 1393 Union Worx User Instructions. Please review the following information before calling the hall to ask these questions.
- If you are a member of an IBEW Local Union, you must register with your Local Number and your Card Number or your request will be rejected.
- After your account has been activated (WHICH IS NOT INSTANT) you are still required to submit an "Out of Work List Request", which is the 4th option on the App home page; registration alone does not put you on the books.
- Dispatch does not handle administrative support. All requests/inquiries outside of dispatch are to be directed to the Local 1393 front office staff at: (317) 791-1362.
- If you cannot login because your e-mail is already in use, DO NOT CREATE A DUPLICATE ACCOUNT! Contact bidhelp@ibewlocal1393.com
Signing The Books
- Walk-in book signs are not accepted.
- You must sign the books using your account under "Out of Work List Request"
- You must physically touch the Out of Work List Book that you want to sign before hitting "Submit". If you don't do this, your book sign will not come through. We will know if you skipped these instructions when you call.
- Re-sign = Name Renewal (Re-sign is not a book sign!)
- Renewals are done between the 10th and the 16th of each month
- Failure to submit a re-sign/name renewal during the monthly re-sign/renewal period will result in being removed from the out-of-work list and you will need to re-register, to be added back on the out-of-work list. No exceptions.
- Local 1393 does not accept Letters of Introduction for book sign requests
- For all Travelers we require a current dues receipt to be uploaded, which can be done through Designations
- Local 1393 members do not need to provide a copy of their dues receipt.
- All Applicants, regardless of home local affiliation, are required to have a valid Photo ID on file in order to qualify for employment.
- All certifications required by a contractor must be uploaded to your account, valid and non-expired. This includes a valid CDL A or B for call outs.
- All Applicants who have been previously referred to work/received a clearance Referral from Local 1393 must have or submit a termination slip to Dispatch in order to be placed on the Out of Work List books. Termination slips can be e-mailed to: eadams@ibewlocal1393.com
Bidding & Taking Jobs
- Job calls for the next business day are posted at 04:30 pm, the IBEW 1393 Job Calls Website, and the Union Worx Mobile App.
- Applicants who are registered on the out-of-work books list may log in and bid for jobs that they qualify for. If multiple jobs are bid, the applicant must select a priority order. Make sure you CONFIRM each bid.
- Applicants may view and/or amend their bid at any time up to the 8:00 AM job call cutoff (for all calls).
- The job call system will run at 09:35 am on the day of the call.
- All applicants who placed a bid can be notified of their status via email, text message and/or push notifications. Keep in mind, the OFFICIAL notification of your job call status is found in the ACCOUNT section of the Job Call System.
- A BID IS A BINDING COMMITMENT TO TAKE THE CALL. DO NOT BID THE JOB IF YOU CANNOT COMPLETE THE REFERRAL AND TAKE THE CALL.
- Bid fails happen when Applicants are bidding on jobs that they do not meet the requirements for or jobs out of their classification. Bid fails are not considered bids.
- All Applicants selected for employment will receive a phone call from Dispatch between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to verify acceptance.
- It is the Applicant's responsibility to ensure that Dispatch has a correct contact phone number and to be available during this time slot.
- All bids must be completed using the Union Worx bid software. Phone bids are not accepted.
